Konica Minolta takes into account the various environmental aspects of its products. This approach begins with the research and development of new products and services, continues through all internal processes integrating both the supplier and customer chain, and comes full circle with the recycling of old devices.
Example: CO2 footprint comparison between the bizhub C25 and its predecessor
The following example shows that we improve our products constantly while focussing on reducing the CO2 footprint throughout the entire product’s life cycle.
Our latest A4 MFP bizhub C25 consumes notably less greenhouse gases than its predecessor bizhub C20. This is a result of the decreased consumption during manufacture, shipping and device operation.
Overall, the bizhub C25 consumes 212 kg per year less greenhouse gases than the bizhub C20 – an amount equivalent to 1,656 km driven with a small car or 1,237 km on a plane.
* kg-CO2e means the weight of green house gases as CO2 equivalent including 6 GHG gases (Carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous oxide (N2O), Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), Perfluorocarbons (PFCs), Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6)
